The Department of History at Amherst College invites applications for a one-year full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Medieval European History, beginning July 1, 2014. We are seeking a person prepared to teach a range of courses (two in each semester) and advise honors students. Candidates must have the Ph.D. degree in hand or all requirements for the degree fulfilled by the start of the appointment. Strong commitments to scholarship and teaching a diverse undergraduate student body are essential.
